Nut Cookies

½ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
¾ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
2 cups flour
½ tsp soda
¾ tsp baking powder
2/3 cup nuts (chopped)

Cream shortening and sugar. Add salt, vanilla and unbeaten eggs. Beat until fluffy. Add flour, soda and baking powder. Beat then add nuts. Bake at 360 degrees for 15 minutes.
