Easy and Simple Sugar Cookies Recipe
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
1 egg well beaten
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
½ tsp cream of tartar
¼ tsp salt
2 cup flour
Spoon flour into cup and do not sift before measuring. Cream sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and beat well and add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients 3 times. Mix ingredients all together until dough forms. Take 1 tsp of dough and roll into a ball. Roll in sugar and place on cookie sheet and press down with a glass. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
